Visiting Guidelines – Covid-19

We understand that this is still a time of uncertainty, and many people will feel anxious being out and about. We want to ensure everyone feels welcome, and so have set some guidelines to keep us all safe.

General guidance

The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff remains our top priority. We’ll provide hand sanitiser and have high standards of cleanliness. Face coverings are recommended inside, including in the Visitor Centre and Display Space. We also ask that you continue to follow social distancing guidelines and respect peoples’ personal space

You will see the NHS Test and Trace QR codes around the building too – please check in to help us continue supporting the NHS in monitoring and managing the coronavirus.

We clean and sanitise all our shared equipment (kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, kayak audio headsets, and props) after use. It is recommended, where possible, that you bring your own headphones for use during the Introducing the Roundhouse Guided Tour and A City in One Square Guided Walk. Alternatively, single-use headphones will be provided for these two activities.

Advance booking for tours helps us keep everyone safe and socially distanced. At present we are keeping our tour capacities to small numbers to ensure social distancing is maintained. Tickets do not need to be printed as we operate a contactless ticketing system using QR codes. These will be emailed to you, so please keep them safe. You will be required to show these when you check in for your tour.
