A landscape image showing a canal to the left of the image and to the right of the image is a canal towpath. Walking away from the camera along the path are a group of people. Around the image, along the bank of the canal and towards the group are lots of green shrubbery and plants. In background are some buildings, reflected in the canal.

Description

Join in with Roundhouse Birmingham’s litter picking sessions along the canal as part of Great Big Green Week.

14 million pieces of plastic rubbish end up in and around our waterways each year, which can be dangerous for both people and wildlife. Help us to tackle the challenge by joining us for a litter pick.

We will provide all the equipment you need (bags, gloves, litter pickers) but you are welcome to bring along your own. Once the litter has been collected, bring it back to the Roundhouse where we will dispose of it.

These litter picking sessions are free to book on to but if you’re able, we accept contactless or cash donations on a pay-as-you-feel basis in our Visitor Centre. We are an independent charity with the aim of making this beautiful old building self-sustaining by giving it a new purpose. Through your donations, you’re directly helping to support the future of the Roundhouse, enabling our work with the local community.
