Outdoor seating area coming soon to the Roundhouse

Roundhouse Birmingham is delighted to announce that we’re starting work on a new outdoor seating area for the Roundhouse courtyard. This is the final element of the project to restore the Grade II* listed building for mixed-use, which was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England.

This new decking area will give visitors a space to sit, picnic and enjoy everything the Roundhouse has to offer.

The work will start on Thursday 4 May and a section of the courtyard will be fenced off until it is completed in early summer. The Visitor Centre will be open as normal, Wednesday to Sunday between 9:30 and 16:30.

The contractors will be working in the courtyard from Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 17.00 so there will be intermittent noise at these times.

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. We look forward to visitors being able to come and enjoy this space during lunch breaks, as a rest stop for a walk on the canal or a place to meet and catch up. We can’t wait to share this final piece of the Roundhouse puzzle with you.
