Access FAQs
A selection of Frequently Asked Questions associated with accessibility.
Do you offer disabled parking?
There is no on-site parking at the Roundhouse.
The nearest car park is Arena Birmingham, which has two entrance point – Sheepcote Street and King Edwards Road (St Vincent Street entrance is currently closed). When parking at the Arena, we recommend that where possible you disembark outside the Roundhouse before the vehicle parks. Accessible parking bays are located on Level 9 of the North Car Park, off King Edward’s Road, or in the South Car Park, off St Sheepcote Street (but please note that lifts can sometimes be out of action in the South Car Park). Disabled visitors arriving in vehicles over 2m in height (Minibuses or Ambilifts), need to head to the North Car Park. Here visitors can disembark, and traffic officers will then direct the vehicle to the nearest parking bay.
If you display your Blue Badge, parking is free at pay and display on-street parking bays (with no time limits) and at council car parks. If you display your Blue Badge, you can park on yellow lines as long as you don’t cause an obstruction. There aren’t any loading restrictions. See the Birmingham City Council website for more details https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/bluebadgeparking
Are dogs welcome at the Roundhouse?
Dogs are welcome in all outdoor areas of the Roundhouse. Please be considerate of other visitors when bringing your pet into our courtyard, and keep your dog on a lead at all times. Assistance dogs are welcome in all spaces at the Roundhouse.
Does the Roundhouse have wheelchair access?
Roundhouse Birmingham is accessible to wheelchair users.
Please be aware that Roundhouse Birmingham, as a heritage site, is built on a slope and is laid with cobbles. It is therefore uneven under foot. However, there is a clear route designed to be accessible for wheelchair users, pushchairs and visitors with restricted mobility.

All our land-based tours are accessible for those with restricted mobility or in wheelchairs. See our Access information for further details.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about attending one of our tours, and do let us know on booking if you have any special requirements.
Is there a wheelchair-accessible toilet?
