Paddlesport Guide

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified paddlesport instructor who is passionate about providing high levels of customer service to deliver outstanding kayak and stand up paddleboard tours and experiences.

If you’re an engaging individual who is known for their exceptional people skills, with a love of Birmingham and for delivering first class experiences, we have just the role for you!

Headline info:

  • Fixed term until 30 September 2024
  • Annualised hours contract – approx 30 hours per week
  • £23,868 per annum, pro rata (£4,774 actual)
  • Primarily Thursday-Sunday & August bank holiday
  • Must hold a British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor qualification
  • Deadline 11:59pm Sunday 16 June 2024
  • Interviews will be held in Birmingham between Thursday 20 June-Monday 24 June
  • Interview will include kayaking
  • Start date ideally early July

Customer Support Administrator/ Visitor Centre Assistant

In partnership with Canal & River Trust (CRT), we have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about heritage, engagement and customer service.

This is a full time role, 2.5 days as Customer Support Adminstrator with CRT and 2.5 days as Visitor Centre Assistant with Roundhouse.

For your Roundhouse days, you will be engaging with visitors, introducing them to the history of the Roundhouse, delivering tours and making guests feel welcome and at home in this beautiful city-centre heritage attraction and activity centre.

Freelance Qualified Kayak Instructors

Due to the continued popularity of our award-winning kayak tours, we are looking to expand our database of freelance Kayak Tour Guides for tours starting April 2024.

 
Our engaging and enthusiastic Kayak Tour Guides take guests on paddles of the city, providing a fun and informative kayaking experience.
 
Suitable candidates must hold a British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor qualification
(or above). Successful applicants will be required to learn tour content, and attend a training and induction session. Shifts are for various programmed dates and also on an ad-hoc basis.
