In Autumn 2021 we began working on our third creative heritage project with We Don’t Settle; researching, writing, recording, and launching an audio tour of Ladywood focussed on Black history, heritage, and spaces. We were joined on the project by five project activators, who have co-produced My Voice, My Path, Our History with our teams.
But something else happened. The discussions and research grew to cover a greater area and an increasing number of stories; going beyond the boundaries of the local audio tour. So, we’ve created this page as an ongoing hub for the extended interviews, blogs, and videos that have been captured during this project, providing a deeper dive into black histories and stories that our project team has discovered.
