About this experience

Looking for a free and fun family activity?

Drop into the Roundhouse for some free, family friendly craft activities this May bank holiday weekend.

Paint a horseshoe! Design a colourful horseshoe right in the building where horses were once stabled. Take photos of your horseshoe in our horse stall time machine, or out in the courtyard.

Drawing and colouring in. We have a lot of pens and some heritage themed colouring in, for grown-ups (and little ones too).

Local Look Around Family Friendly Trial. Search the Roundhouse and the canals for histories, sights, and smells. When you’ve finished the trail, head back to the Roundhouse. Get your trail sheet stamped with a smile and claim your prize! Ask a member of the team for a trial.

Please note that these craft activities will take place on Saturday 24th May to Monday 26th May, 10:00am – 4:30pm.

Why not make a day of it, and join us on a family friendly Heritage Working Boat trip! Boat trips are running all bank holiday weekend, and will take you around the loops of Birmingham’s canals.
