Description
Join us for a day of celebration on Saturday 30th November to celebrate the autumn season with us; join CBSO and our partners Canal and River Trust and Roundhouse for an afternoon parade along the Canalside, finishing the day with a Family Friendly Concert at the CBSO Centre.
Begin your journey at the historic Roundhouse to craft your unique lantern with artist Sophie Handy and our friendly staff and volunteer team.
Gather at the Roundhouse from 3:30pm to enjoy live music from CBSO musicians before setting off on a procession along Birmingham’s canals. Parade along the Birmingham mainline canal, led by an iconic 1930’s heritage working boat. The procession of hand crafted lanterns will light up the canal towpath, as we make out way to the CBSO Centre where the festival continues with an evening of family friendly live music.
Tickets for crafting and the concert are free but must be pre-booked; there is a strictly limited capacity for Family Craft. Tickets are also available for the evening concert only – please check carefully when making your booking.
Bringing the Light is a collaborative project between CBSO Community Board, Canal and River Trust and Roundhouse, Birmingham. We would like to thank all the staff and volunteers who made this event possible.
