Uncover clues about the Roundhouse’s past, play a game of top trumps, unlock photos from the building’s past, and ponder the question: why is it round?

Description

Wanting to find out more about the history of this fascinating building? Join us for this private group tour and hear the stories of people who used to work here.

Lasting approximately 70-90 minutes, you’ll be taken around by one of our expert guides during this informal and interactive tour.

The tour is predominantly outdoors, so make sure to wear weather appropriate clothing. We don’t cover huge distances, but there is a lot of standing. There are some seats dotted around the route, however.

Prices start at £60 for a group of up to 6 people. Each additional person, up to a maximum group size of 15, is £10 per person.

To discuss date options with a member of the team and to book, please visit our ‘Groups‘ page.

Please note: we require a minimum of one months notice to arrange private group tours. We do try to accommodate enquiries with less notice, but cannot guarantee guide availability.

Make sure to come along and check in at our Visitor Centre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour to make sure we are ready to start on time.

Our Victorian cobbles can be a little uneven and steep in places, and most Roundhouse Birmingham experiences will involve some walking. Sturdy, sensible shoes are your friend!

Our guided tours and walks will go ahead whatever the weather so plan accordingly.

Your guide will use audio systems to ensure that they are audible in the busy city environment.

Tour headsets and hearing loops are available so everyone can hear clearly, bring plug in headphones if you have them, or use those we have available.

If you would benefit from the tour guide system’s hearing loop, call ahead to let us know on 0121 716 4077, or by emailing bookings@roundhousebirmingham.org.uk

Looking for something to eat and drink before or after your tour? Ticket holders receive 20% off food at The Distillery pub next door. Discount is valid on the day of your tour on production of your ticket. You will need to place your order through a member of staff. Booking is recommended. Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat in the courtyard.
