Not only will you get to see Birmingham from a duck’s perspective, but we will take you into some of the lesser known areas of our green city.
We’ll travel along the Soho loop, a section of canal that saw the birth of the industrial revolution and certainly played its part. Today, the Soho loop connects many green spaces and is used by the wildlife as a quick shortcut, so expect to see some local wildlife; if you are extremely lucky you may even catch a glimpse of the illusive otters that frequent this section.
A slightly longer paddle than the Bustling Birmingham tour, this tour is great for those with previous experience or who have already attended our Bustling Birmingham tour.
No previous experience is required, however attending our other tour first is a big bonus. We will be paddling approximately 5 miles in total.
We will provide every participant with a buoyancy aid, regardless of their swimming ability, so that should you fall in you’ll be safe. Tours are led by a professionally qualified British Canoeing Instructor who will give full tuition. Sit back, paddle and have fun!
Great for: Finding out something new (and old) in Birmingham; seekers of hidden gems; anyone looking for an alternative to a lecture-style museum tour; a bit of fresh air with people; something memorable to do with visiting family and friends.
